DX9183 Thermal Cycling and Humidity-Freeze Test Chamber

The DX9183 is a large-capacity walk-in environmental chamber designed for IEC 61215 thermal cycling (TC200) and humidity-freeze (HF10) testing of photovoltaic modules. It reproduces the severe temperature and humidity profiles that modules face in the field, so manufacturers can verify power degradation, insulation integrity and long-term reliability before certification.

Test Capability

• Thermal cycling test (IEC 61215): modules are cycled between -40°C ±2°C and +85°C ±2°C at an air speed of not less than 2 m/s, with a module surface temperature change rate of no more than 100°C/h and a minimum dwell time of 10 minutes; one test programme runs 200 cycles (50 cycles also programmable).
• Humidity-freeze test (IEC 61215 / UL 1073): 10 cycles from +85°C at 85% RH down to -40°C, with temperature held within ±2°C of the set point and relative humidity within ±5% RH of the set value at every temperature above room temperature.
• Compliant standards: IEC 61215, IEC 61730-2004, IEC 61345 and UL 1073.

Why the DX9183

• 12 modules per batch: the 1.5 × 2.5 × 1.5 m working volume holds 12 full-size test modules in a single run, and the chamber can be customised to your module format and batch size.
• Stable chamber environment: temperature fluctuation ±1°C, temperature deviation ±1°C and uniformity within ±2°C keep every module in the batch under identical stress.
• Precise humidity control: 30-98% RH with ±3% FS deviation, ±2% RH fluctuation and ≤2% RH uniformity, meeting the 85°C/85% RH and 90% RH set points required by the freeze cycle.
• Independent loop control: the program controller drives heating, humidification, dehumidification and cooling separately, with an automatic energy valve on the refrigerant circuit to cut power consumption during long cycling runs.
• Full traceability: the touch screen shows set-point and actual curves in real time, sampling rate is adjustable, set value, segment, remaining time, cycle count and humidity are displayed live, and RS-485 with PC software supports data logging, printing and downloading for certification reports.
• Built for continuous duty: SUS#304 high-temperature resistant stainless steel inner liner, anti-rust steel plate with baked paint exterior, high-density rigid PU foam plus glass wool insulation, and new HFC environmentally friendly refrigerant.
• Power-off memory: the programme resumes automatically after a power interruption, so a 200-cycle test does not have to restart from cycle one.
