Introduce:
The tracking performance of insulating polymer materials for outdoor use is tested according to IEC60587 or JIS C2136 "Test methods for evaluating tracking and erosion performance under severe environmental conditions". The sample is inclined at 45 degrees, the upper and lower electrodes are connected, the electrodes are energized according to the specified voltage, and the electrolyte flows from the upper electrode to the lower electrode. Tracking starts at the bottom, and the time for the tracking to go up 20 mm from the bottom electrode is measured. This is how tracking performance (carbonization) and erosion resistance (erosion) properties are confirmed.
