IEC60332-3 Test apparatus for Vertical Flame Propagation of Bundles of Wires and Cables
This equipment is used to evaluate the vertical installation of bunched wire and cable or fiber optic cable under the specified conditions to inhibit the ability of the vertical flame propagation device, the device shell is made of full SUS304 stainless steel, the whole by the test box, air source, steel ladder , emissions purification system, ignition source and other components.
1. Test Chamber
The experimental device is a self-supporting box with a width of (1000±100) mm, a depth of (2000±100) mm, and a height (4000 of 100) mm. The back wall and both sides of the test chamber are made of thermal insulation with a heat transfer coefficient of approximately 0.7W, m-2K-1 (consisting of a 1.5mm thick SUS304 stainless steel plate, covered with a 65mm thick insulating mineral fiber), and an external wall. The door uses 1.5mm thick US304 stainless steel.
2. Air source
2.1 The air inlet is equipped with an air blower with adjustable air flow, and the air flow rate is (5000±500)L/mn to the combustion chamber. The air outlet is equipped with a digital anemometer.
2.2 After the test is completed: if the sample is still burning for one hour after the stop of the fire, an alarm is set and the device for stopping the combustion by the south force is used.
3. Copper ladder type

4. Emissions purification device
4.1 The upper part of the test box is equipped with an exhaust fan, and the box type exhaust gas is pumped out of the box at a speed of 6M/S. The smoke collection tower is sent out, and the exhaust vent has a digital anemometer.

5.1 Type: The ignition source shall include one or two band-type propane gas burners and their associated flow meters and venturi mixers. The surface of the fire supply should be 242 flat metal plates with a diameter of 1.32 mm. The center distance of these holes is 3.2 mm and they are staggered in three rows with 81, 80 and 81 rows respectively. The size is in the range of 257×4.5 mm. In addition, a row of small holes are opened on both sides of the fire board. These guide holes can maintain the stable combustion of the flame in accordance with GB/T 18380.31-2008 torch requirements.
5.2 Each torch is equipped with a rotameter or mass flow meter that can accurately control the flow of propane and air.
