BS6387 Shock Vibration Flame Testing Machine for Wire and Cable Products
The performance requirements of the test machine include fire test, water spray fire test and mechanical fire test. Suitable for mineral insulated cables with rated voltages up to 4 50/750 V. Second, equipment components: fire test: fire-resistant test stand includes the following parts
1.1: Cable Support System: The cable clamps both ends of the cable jacket laterally through the clamps: The middle part of the cable consists of two metal rings (300mm apart, fixed, and the metal ring is grounded to the other metal parts of the device. The cable support device is shown in Figure 1 for armoured cables with a diameter of less than 10mm. Or some other cable that has undergone significant displacement during the test. Three metal rings, each fixed about 150mm from the original metal ring.
1.2: Continuous detection device: let all currents of the cable pass through the cable during test, a three-phase star-connected transformer or three single-phase transformers (or a single-phase transformer if the test is a single-core cable) and have sufficient capacity Maintain a maximum allowable leakage current of 3A at the test voltage. Connect a cover lamp to each core at the other end of the cable and apply a current close to Q.2SA at the rated voltage of the cable.
1.3: Heat Source
1.3.1: The heat source is a 610 mm long alternative gas burner that can force the supply of methane and flame.
1.3.2: Temperature measurement: A 2mm diameter armored thermometer is placed near the air intake, parallel to the burner above 75mm
1.3.3: Test flame temperature and time: (see BS6387 combustion rating)
A: 650°C±40°C-3 hours B:750°C±40°C-3 hours C:950°C±40°C-3 hours S: 950°C±40°C-20 minutes
1.3.4 Specimen: The specimen is a section of the finished product, not less than 1200mm, with 100mm sheath and cover removed at both ends. The wires at both ends of the cable should be in accordance with the electrical connection.
1.3.5: Test Voltage: 200- I000V
Third, water fire test; includes the following part
2.1: Cable support system: The electric cable is connected to two metal brackets consisting of 25mm wide rigid plates. The bracket is fixed with metal clips. The spacing between the clips is 200mm and the cable is attached to the bracket as shown in Figure 3'. All metal frames are grounded.
2.2: Continuous side-detection device: let the current pass through all the cores of the cable during the test. Three single-phase transformers. And there is enough ability to maintain the maximum allowable leakage current at the test voltage of 3A, and connect one lamp to each core at the other end of the cable. It is loaded with current close to O.25A at the rated voltage of the cable.
2.3: Heat Source
2.3.1: Heat: A strip-shaped burner with a length of 400 min capable of burning up to 400 mm of cable specimen. Burner assembly can be adjusted. Can provide a bright fire filling temperature of 650 persons 40C.
2.3.2: Temperature measurement: A 2 mm diameter armored thermometer is placed on the lower surface of the cable
2.3.3: Test flame temperature: 650°C±40°C
